Hanging paper chandeliers made by hand in Cincinnati by Jessica Wolf, who studied printmaking and photography (BFA, Murray State University, 2003), worked in package design, and has run Paper Acorn full time since 2009. Each sculpture is a cascade of hand-cut petals, leaves, feathers or stars strung from a laser-cut wooden medallion: sugar maple leaves in autumn colors, a gold-starred night sky, ginkgo leaves turning from green to yellow, a 1903 street map of downtown Cincinnati under a Music Hall rose window. Some are made from vintage maps, film negatives or images from the James Webb telescope. Most come with a plug-in light kit or hang on a hook, and she takes custom design-your-own orders. She also makes paper succulents that never need watering and little cloches with fairy houses, jackalopes and snails under glass.
