What we collect

Location. To show markets near you we store a location you enter (a ZIP, a city, or your device location if you allow it) in a cookie on your device. It is not tied to an account unless you sign in. We also keep an anonymous daily count of which towns people browse from (the town name and a rough area, never your exact location, your account or your IP address) so we know where to add markets.

Accounts. Vendors and market managers give us an email address, a name, and a password. Vendors may also give us a phone number and a business address; those are private and used so markets they apply to can reach them and so we can place their pin.

Orders. When you request an order we store your name, the phone number or email you leave, your note, and the items. We share those with the vendor you ordered from, and only with them. Guests get a private link to their order; keep it private.

Documents. Vendors may upload insurance certificates and licenses. They are stored privately and shown only to the vendor and to markets the vendor has applied to or chosen to share with.

Usage. Our hosting providers keep standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and reliability.

What we don’t do

We don’t sell personal information. We don’t run advertising. We don’t process card payments for orders; when a vendor accepts your order you pay them directly.

Who we share with

Service providers that run the site: Supabase (database, authentication, file storage), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (subscriptions for premium vendor pages, if you buy one), and an email provider for notifications you’ve opted into. Each only receives what it needs to do its job.

Seeded listings

We create some market and vendor pages from public sources (state market lists, market websites) before anyone claims them. These contain business information, not personal data, except a manager’s public contact where a market published it. If a page is about you and you want it corrected or removed, write to us.

Your choices

You can delete your vendor or market page from its More screen. To delete your account, email us and we’ll remove your profile; order records a vendor already received stay with the vendor. Email us to exercise any rights your state gives you.

Children

Patchwork is for adults and businesses. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.
