Terms of use

Effective September 18, 2026 · Draft, under review

Patchwork is a directory of farmers markets and vendors and a set of tools that help markets and vendors run their days. By using patchworkave.com you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

1. What Patchwork is, and isn’t

Patchwork lists markets, vendors, dates, products and the ability to request an order from a vendor for pickup. Patchwork is not the seller of anything you order. Every order is a request to an independent vendor. The vendor decides whether to accept it, prepares it, and is paid by you directly at pickup. Patchwork does not handle your payment for goods, does not set prices, and does not inspect, store or deliver products.

2. Orders

When you place an order request you agree to pick it up at the place and date you chose and to pay the vendor the total shown, unless you cancel before the vendor marks it ready or the vendor declines it. Vendors may cancel or decline for any reason. Questions about an order, its contents, allergens, refunds or quality go to the vendor. Patchwork may show you the vendor’s notes but does not guarantee them.

3. Food and cottage-food products

Many vendors sell under state cottage-food or home-based food laws. Those products are made in kitchens that are not inspected by a government agency, and the vendor is responsible for any labeling and disclosures those laws require. If you have allergies or dietary needs, ask the vendor before you order.

4. Accounts and pages

Shoppers don’t need an account. Vendors and market managers create or claim a page and are responsible for what they publish on it: hours, dates, products, prices, documents, notices. By claiming a page you confirm you are authorized to represent that business or market. We may remove pages or content that are misleading, infringing, unlawful or abusive, and may suspend accounts that misuse the service.

5. Listings we seed

Some market and vendor pages are created from public sources before anyone claims them. We try to keep them accurate and mark uncertain details, but hours and seasons change. Confirm with the market before you go. If a page is about you, claim it and correct it, or ask us to remove it.

6. Fees between markets and vendors

Markets may use Patchwork to record table fees owed and paid by their vendors. Those records are between the market and the vendor. Patchwork does not collect those fees today and is not a party to that arrangement.

7. Your content

You keep ownership of what you post. You give Patchwork a license to display it on the service and in previews of the service. Don’t post anything you don’t have the right to share.

8. No warranty; limits on liability

The service is provided as is. To the fullest extent the law allows, PatchworkAve is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from a transaction between you and a vendor or market, and our total liability for any claim is limited to $100.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top changes when we do, and continued use means you accept the update.
