Organized by Alton Main Street since 1993, the Alton Farmers' & Artisans' Market fills the lot at Landmarks Boulevard and Henry Street every Saturday morning from May to mid-October with locally grown produce, grass-fed beef, pasture-raised poultry, eggs, honey, coffee, bread and baked goods, cut flowers, plants and handmade art, plus live entertainment; everything sold is handmade or homegrown within 50 miles. SNAP accepted with a dollar-for-dollar match.

34th season in 2026: every Saturday 8 AM–noon, May 9–October 17, rain or shine, in the parking lot at Landmarks Blvd. & Henry St. (Alton Main Street). SNAP accepted by most vendors with a dollar-for-dollar LinkUP Illinois match at the information booth; senior nutrition and WIC vouchers accepted by most food producers.
